For as long as I can remember, I had a crayon in one hand and a picture book in the other. I have been lucky to be able to develop my crayon and book passion into a rewarding, life long career as an illustrator.
I have illustrated over 70 children's books; picture books, craft books, interactive books, workbooks and educational readers.One of my favorites is "Zoe's Hats", a color concept book which I wrote and illustrated for Boyds Mills Press.. (check her out on your left!)
When I am not at the drawing board, I enjoy visiting schools and sharing my love of illustrating and writing.
Workshops and Classes:
*Each workshop can be designed to fit the needs of your school, Pre K to adults.
*My workshops focus on the development of a children’s book author and illustrator. I share the creative process involved in creating a children’s picture book, from original concept to publication. I stress the importance of reading and writing.
*I share my struggles and my mistakes, with the hope that with patience, persistence, and passion, we all learn to follow our dreams. I look forward to the opportunity to enlighten and inspire by sharing my experiences.I have taught successful literacy courses for grades K through 5 for over 6 years. I am an elected library board trustee in the town of New Fairfield, CT.
